Unlike most of those mentioned, Jatras has indicated his interest in the No. 2 slot on the ticket whoever gets the nomination (and not only if Donald Trump is the nominee) and is actually a Republican (several of those named are not). Moreover, some of those mentioned for the Veepstakes are running for President and have specifically denied any interest in the second spot.
